Skills

Skills can be obtained from the Skill window. To open the skill window click on the “My Info.” menu and choose “Skill” or use the shortcut key ‘K’. More skills become available to you as you advance in profession and level up.

To learn skills you must spend skill points which are earned by levelling up your character. A skill must have at least one skill point spent on it to be unlocked.

Certain skills are active skills, which require you to drag the skill icon from the skill window onto your Quick Slots Bar for easy use. Other skills may be passive, meaning that they are always active and don’t require any activation on your own part as long as they have been unlocked.

Skills connected by an arrow are linked together. The skill at the end of the arrow requires the skill before it to be skill levelled to 5 before you can unlock it. In the below example, the Knight’s “Rush of Defence” skill requires “Shield Attack” to be at level 5 before it can be unlocked.

When you have skill points to spend, press the + on a skill to increase it’s level. Each skill’s power has 5 levels. Hover the mouse over the skill icon to see its current ability compared to the ability it provides for the next level if you spent another skill point to it.

Special items such as the Calligraphy of Oblivion or the Unstable Calligraphy of Oblivion, can be used to take back skill points you invested before. The Calligraphy of Oblivion resets all skill points. While it is in your inventory, press “Reset” button on the Skill window to reset all skills. When you have one Unstable Calligraphy of Oblivion, you can use the minus button on any skill from the Skill window to take back one point.
