Chat Channels

Chat channels allow users to speak together from anywhere even if they’re not in the same party, clan or map location. To open the list of Chat Channels, look for the Chatting Channels from the Community menu, or press the shortcut ‘B’ on the keyboard to open the window.

From here we can join a default channel, create our own new channel, or attend an existing one.

To create our own channel, click on the “Create” button and you will be asked to enter a name for the channel. Lets create a channel named “Tempskrons”.

Once created a message appears in the center of the screen to tell us that the channel has been created. The number on the left of the channel name is the number we’ll have to remember to speaking into this channel. In the below example we see that this channel 1 for us. The channel number depends on the order in which you created or attend channels after logging in.

Since this is channel 1, we can start speaking into the channel by using: /1 Hello!

If we joined more than one channel, then remember the number you saw when you joined, in order to speak to the users in that channel.

To leave a channel, open the Chat Channel window again, click on the channel you no longer want to communicate with and press the “Leave” button.
